I had the pleasure of meeting a remarkable man. Sgt. Michael Minard of the U.S. Army, a few days ago. Mike was severley injured during a roadside bomb attack in Iraq while defending freedom. Both of his legs had to be amputated from the blast. Mike's home was not suitable for a disabled person and he was in need of a new one. The organization Homes for Our Troops helped Sgt. Minard get that home through donations and the hard work of numerous volunteers. I was lucky enough to be able to help frame the house and meet Mike on August 19th and 20th 2009. Mike gave a lot for this country and so did many other soldiers. Please help them and let them know that someone does care about the sacrifice they made and their efforts will always be remembered. Below is a link to an article in The Asbury Park Press about Mike and the home that is being built for him. Also a link to Homes for Our troops is below as well. Let's not forget what these brave young men and woman do for our us.
